Thank you for stopping by!
My life focus is to maintain a teachable spirit and learn to make the most of the moments God has entrusted me with. I love to help others experience the freedom of being all they are designed to be. I reside in Elmira, Ontario with my husband and three teenagers. When time permits I like to run, read, paint or find a trampoline to jump on. I enjoy sharing life lessons through creating canvas art and love the time spent with a paint brush to help connect with my inner self – more often than not I remains surprised at what I see. My speaking engagements often involve creating a piece of art to tell the story of the lessons learned through the preparation and reflection on the event I am invited to speak at.
Painting has been a way for me to express my emotions, relax and get lost in the colour and texture of the paint. My inspiration comes from my love of nature and Indigenous roots. I spent many years away from the art studio but in 2014 was called back to the canvas and ever since I have been working to rekindle my first love of artistic expression through paintings. I have been on my own journey of Truth & Reconciliation, learning from my mother’s childhood experiences and understanding more intimately the effects of intergenerational trauma.
I am an Acadian First Nations Band Member. I have a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education Degree majoring in Physical Education and a minor in Mathematics. I work as a teacher guidance counsellor and working to complete a Professional Masters of Education with a concentration in Indigenous Education.
I am available to speak at a wide variety of conferences, churches, and professional gatherings.
